Dear Mark, Sally, Lori, Paul and Kelly (Kirby and Marina too!),
As we get ready to close out 2007 and ring in a new year, I wanted to thank all of you for bringing so much to our lives this year. The family time we had during the fishing opener and our summer week, both in Coffeetime have added to our Ludlow's memories that we collectively as a family share.

I'm originally from MN and relocated to TX a few years ago. I can't tell you how much I miss MN nature and especially the lakes but am happy to say Ludlow's has filled a large part of that void for me. I wanted to recreate the family vacation experiences I had as a child for my two young nieces and several years ago set out to find a place that would work for us. Ludlow's has consistently exceeded all of my expectations because you cater to the family experience and your obvious commitment to make each visit a special one. My nieces (even the 13 year old now) count the days throughout the cold MN winter till we get to go to Ludlow's. We appreciate your willingness to do anything necessary to meet our needs--including removing the television from the cabin for us so that we have ample opportunity to relate as a family.

The thing that has kept us coming back to Ludlows for 1 week during the summer and then either a fall or spring weekend is how great a family experience it is. As always, the entire staff went of their way to make the daily children's activities enjoyable. Our days were spent planning boatrides AROUND the kids activities if you can believe it. I try to explain to friends here in land locked Dallas what it is like to say good bye to the kids after breakfast, see them at lunch and then at dinner, and not have to worry one bit about them in-between because they are contained, they are having adventures, and most important creating great childhood memories. The family atmosphere on the island creates an environment where guests look out for each others kids, and often we find ourselves on the island at the same time with families from other years. There are very few places I can think of where parents/families do not need to worry about the safety of their kids. Ludlow's island is that kind of place for my family.

I cannot say enough about the staff. They have gotten to know my family over the years. We consider the Ludlow's team part of our extended family, and to be honest, I don't know if I could live in Dallas year round without a few breaks of nature and family at Ludlows!

Thanks again for making the experience we collectively call "Ludlow's" such a wonderful part of our lives and our year. Can't wait to see you in 2008!

Dear Mark:

I wanted to drop you a note of personal thanks for the excellent weekend we had while conferencing at Ludlow's Island. The service that you provided, as well as the attention to detail regarding the meals and cabins, only proves the reputation that Ludlow's Resort has already established. I guess you realize what an excellent operation you run. I have already spoken to many of my friends here in the cities with regard to your island and I suspect that some of them will be visiting you in the upcoming months.

We look forward to our yearly conferences there and I will be anxious to return to Lake Vermilion in the future, both on a personal and business basis. Thanks again for the great time that you showed us on Lake Vermilion. Please give my regards to Bill and his family.

Dear Mark and Sally

Thanks to you and your excellent staff, Spectrum Colors' annual spring fishing trip was another resounding success! Our guests were again delighted with the attention they were shown and as usual the accomodations were exceptional. Add to that the excellent cuisine coupled with white linen table settings and it was hard to believe we were "roughing it" in the great outdoors.

Lake Vermilion is a beautiful lake, and everyone in our group is looking forward to next year. Each year, we get comments suggesting that it can't get any better than this, and then somehow the Ludlow's and their dedicated staff see to it that it does!
