Your vacation starts with a luxury cabin on our private island on Lake Vermilion in northern Minnesota. Lake Vermilion, with its 40,000 acres of friendly navigable waters, 365 islands and nearly 1200 miles of shoreline. And then it gets better by the hour as you relax and begin to enjoy our northwoods hospitality.
We offer you a personalized full service vacation with world-class recreation, natural beauty, and the northern Minnesota ambiance for guests of all ages. Our family has been hosting guests for over 68 years on our island hideaway. Our cabins have multi-baths, wood-burning fireplaces and are situated under a canopy of pine and birch and within 50 feet of the water's edge.

Television:
All off-island cabins have televisions with VCR/DVD players (we have a wide variety of videos available in the lodge)and radios with cassette and CD players. On the island only Coffee Time, Northstar and Loon’s Nest cabins have television. There is a large
screen television for viewing in our recreation room where we also show a child-appropriate movie each evening. With the kids involved in our northwoods activities it is easy for you to relax and unwind, safe in the knowledge that your little ones are having a great vacation too!
Fishing is often a part of your northwoods vacation, and here on Vermilion we have walleye, bass and muskie to challenge you. Our professional guides host weekly fishing clinics to help you sharpen your fishing skills, and of course they are available for a days fishing adventure.
The privacy of our island setting makes it a great place to escape for a honeymoon or special occasion. Only guests are allowed on the island, so children are free to explore, take a canoe to our nearby camping island, or enjoy swimming on our safe sand beach.
