To improve the quality of fishing on Lake Vermilion the Department of Natural Resources has established some “slot” limits. Northern Pike: All from 24 to 36” must be released. One over 36” allowed in possession. Three total possession limit. Walleye: All from 17-26” must be released. One over 26” allowed in possession. Possession limit is four. Muskellunge:
Minimum size limit is 48”.
